"The giant mole (Talpidae wysonian) is a female mole found in the Falador Mole Lair, just under Falador Park. While moles do not normally grow to such sizes naturally, they can do so when they ingest growth potions. During the Second Age, many giant moles existed as a result of the Zarosian Empire's experiments with agricultural potions. They were rendered mostly extinct, but a new giant mole appeared in the Fifth Age following "a slight accident involving a bottle of Malignius Mortifer's-Super-Ultra-Flora-Growth-Potion" used by Wyson the gardener."
